Meet ZAR – the world’s first foldable electric scooter. This scooter is not just another connected urban transporting vehicle but also very smart in design. ZAR is a full size scooter for adults, measuring 43 inches in height while the platform is 19 inches wide. But when folded the scooter becomes 7.8×15.7 inches in size, small enough to fit in backpacks.
ZAR can be connected to smartphones via Bluetooth. An app allows the rider to track route, distance, battery status and speed as well. The electric scooter is powered by a 200W brushless motor that can accelerate it to the top speed of 20 km/hr. For power it houses a 2.9Ah lithium-ion battery which lasts for 10km, but you get the option to upgrade it to 5.8Ah battery to extend up to 20km.
Now its not the vehicle at which you can ride through the whole city but perfectly suitable for nearby workplaces. Due to its compact design you can store anywhere easily in your office.
The ZAR is available for preorder on Kickstarter. Pledging $234 will let you own a 2.9Ah version in March this year.
