Out of many book shelves, the Metamorphosis Shelf by Sebastian Errazuriz is probably the most peculiar yet stylish shelf ever made. It is a hand carved piece of furniture made with Baltic birch plywood in the shape of crawling ivy, inspired by growing ivy in his childhood house. He collaborated with Italian furniture company Horm to sculpt the fully functional and aesthetic structure of the Metamorphosis shelf. You can use it to store many things like books, artifacts, etc or just use it as a decoration piece. This furniture pieces was displayed in the exhibition “Beautiful Premonitions” at the Cristina Grajales Gallery in New York.
