It is a simple, clever and a very useful bike accessory that aims to provide a save ride. The device is fixed on the handlebar of your bike and projects a square grid onto the road. On a rough road, a cyclist can easily see how the grid pattern changes and deforms so that he can deal with the potholes and obstacles in time. The Lumigrid projector features three modes of grip sizes accordingly to the situation. The normal grid size is 5.5 x 7.1 inches. The other two sizes are 5.5 x 10.2 inches and 11.8 x 7.9 inches. Besides the integrated internal battery, the device can also be powered by the movement of wheels. Lumigrid has also won the Red Dot Design Award but is still a researcher’s creation at Sichuan University China. We have no clue when this device will be manufactured on commercial scale.
