Lightpack – An Ambient Backlight is a project by Woodenshark meant to change and glamorize your screen watching experience. It displays the illuminating lights on the wall behind your TV, computer, LCD and HTPC displays with the same colors that are being displayed currently on screen. The 10 small LED stripes of Lightpack creates the feeling of a deeper fascination about the scene and visually broaden the exhibit by taking your gaming/ movie experience to the next level. It also decreases the negative effects of persistent screening in a dark room. Lightpack is an open source content-driven lighting mechanism that you can use it on TV, PC, Mac, Windows, Linux and Android. You can acquire an app that allows you to customize the operating modes, colors and turn on/off, etc. including a XBMC integration plugin.
